Biography

Sofiia Dorosh is a 17 year old pianist and student of the Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague. Until recently, Sofiia was a student of professor Tatiana Abaieva at the Kyiv Lysenko State Music Lyceum. Together with her mother, she moved to the Netherlands at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in March 2022. At present, she continues to study piano with her Ukrainian piano professors Tetiana Abaieva and Borys Fedorov at Davidsbundler Music Academy.

Since her arrival in the Netherlands, Sofiia has performed in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, on Podium Klassiek, MAX television and at various festivals, including a performance with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra.

  • 1st prize at the All-Ukrainian festival-competition of Ukrainian and Polish music “CHOPIN FEST-XXIV” 2020 (Dnipro, Ukraine),

  • Laureate of the fifth prize All-Ukrainian competition of young pianists named after Seraphima Mogilevskaya, 2021.
